Annual Fund 2008-2009
8th Grade
Why should we give generously to Marymount’s Annual Fund, the name of the school says it all:
Moral values are a primary element of the culture of our school. There is no other way to say it than, “quite simply all of the kids at Marymount are good kids.”
Atmosphere. The positive atmosphere at Marymount permeates the students, the faculty and staff, and the parents. It’s a feel-good place and you always feel it when you’re there.
Religion. Whether your family elects the Catholic or the multi-denominational curriculum, religion is integrated into our children’s curriculum in its most positive application: to provide both a moral compass and to help them to develop an understanding of religion as one of the most critical foundations to human societies.
Your School. Marymount is your school as well as your children’s. We have all been encouraged to play important roles in shaping the school and participating in our children’s education and along the way we have developed life-long friendships with some incredible families.
Mhole child (OK, Marymount doesn’t have a “W” but the “Whole Child” development concept has been so important to us that we’re cheating a bit and asking you to picture the “M” turned on its head). We chose to send our children to Marymount largely because of its dedication to the development of the whole child. In these critical development years, we felt that it was more important for our children to build foundations as moral, confident, positive, team-oriented, compassionate, passionate, hard working, and responsible people than it was to provide them solely with an outstanding academic education.
Outstanding Academic Education. But our children do get the best academic education offered along with Marymount’s whole child educational focus. So, we get the best of both.
Understanding our Children. Have you been amazed as we have been how well the teachers, administrators and staff at Marymount really know our kids? They understand who they are and use this knowledge to nurture their strengths and shore up their weaknesses.
Nurturing Environment. The Marymount community is like a comfortable family where the positive support among the members provides everyone with the comfort and the confidence to be all that they can.
Teachers. Our teachers are the heart that pumps life into all of the wonderful attributes of our school. They teach, drive, and love our children. They have helped to develop our children into the amazing people that they have become and so, we are all fortunate.
So, 8th grade parents, show your support for our wonderful school and please make a gift or pledge to the Annual Fund so we can achieve 100% participation from our class. Every person and every dollar makes a difference!
